The Consortium provides member institutions with:

  • Monthly interactive lectures + discussions

  • Up-to-date information and resources to support international student well-being

  • One free private one on one clinical case consultation with an expert faculty

  • A robust peer community of like-minded educators, student support staff, and health and mental health clinicians who all share a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and enhancing the learning environment to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse and global student body.

As mental health has become a top priority, especially in the context of COVID-19, many are recognizing a persistent gap in cross-cultural services and support appropriate for international students. The CCCSEW Consortium is proud to announce the launch of the fourth year of our virtual institute to help university and secondary school staff better support the emotional well-being and long-term success of international students.

In addition to year-long virtual lectures and discussion, with topics spanning stress and anxiety in adolescents and young adults, cross-cultural approaches to depression, and racial identity, the Consortium program provides cutting edge resources to address the impact of COVID-19. For example, this year we have launched new 8-week support groups for international students in Mandarin and English, facilitated by a master clinical psychologist, Yi Yang, PhD.

Finally, by bringing educational institutions together in a collegial learning environment, the Consortium fosters cross-pollination, sharing of best practices, and lasting relationships in an extraordinary network geared toward growth and professional development for each member school.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has had a profound impact on Asian and Asian American students. Click below to see what we have done to address the challenges our students are facing.

It's normal to feel sad, stressed, confused, scared, or angry. Our new 8-Week Group Support Program, led by a master clinician, helps international students face their feelings and transform challenges into assets.

Our faculty members are among the nation’s leading experts in cross-cultural, Asian American, and international student mental health, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Click below to see their biographies.
